i had a black barred goby that i got 2 days ago. yesterday he was burrowing and sifting sand and seeming perfecty healthy and today i found him stuck to a powerhead! its a koralia 1...seems pretty weak to me to be the COD but that's why i'm asking for your opinion! any ideas?

In my opinion, that was not the cause. Water parameters? What else is in the tank? How long has the tank been active?

A koralia 1 shouldn't cause that. As Steve said, check your params. A healthy fish won't get sucked into a powerhead. I have a vortech mp40w on my 46 gallon and no fish get sucked into it.

i have a blenny that perches on a tunze 6025 all the time. he's there right now as a matter of fact. imo, the only time a fish would get stuck on a powerhead is if it was already dead.

Agreed something was wrong with the fish or the tank,

I have seen very small fish that could not escape the suction and were killed on a powerhead intake. Saw a juvenile regal tang by it this way last week in a friends tank.

its impossible for a koralia 1 to suck a healthy fish into the side and keep it there, imo the fish died and the water flow took him there, you need to test water parameters to find out why it died, basically ammonia in the water stream or bullying are 2 good reasons, start there and try to illiminate those reasons first
