Anyone have a photo of one of these grown out? I've seen a few maricultured ones for sale so I'd hope someone has had success with this coral. Finally found a specimen to add to my reef. I'll add a photo of mine once I get the chance. IMO a very nice coral :) with no "named" ones out there...am I wrong?

my pink and purple one turned brown with green polyps... IMO these are corals that you should not buy for color. I think they need to be absolutely blasted with light of the right spectrum to maintain their color.

Just give it time, lots of sps just need a while to acclimate to your lighting, flow, water paremeters etc etc.In the pic you can still see some color jsut be patient and give it good conditions.

now im bummed. mine is brown with a green growth edge at the base. the rest of it only has a slight tinge of color. but i did get it for a steal since it was completely bleached when i bought it. i have seen several pieces of this at various lfs's, and they have all bee bleached to one degree or another while all the other maricultures in the same tanks still had plenty of color

I saw a bright green one at a pet store that had been there for weeks. It was too expensive for most people to want, but atleast it was holding its color.

I've got one; it's in QT now, but this is what it looked like in my 65g on the bottom.

Kasey, is yours a wild maricultured one or a grown out frag? It's hard to tell from your photo. Looks good everyone.

Here is mine, it was really pale when I got it. Then it colored up nice and looked like the pics below. However, it lost all its pink. I think I need to lower my nutrients to get it back to its coloration.
