My extremely lazy and inconsiderate father decided to throw his dirty work clothes into the washer where my filter socks just got done being cleaned (with no soap obviously)...
Well my dad washed his clothes along with my filter socks with soap.
I rewashed my filter socks with Hot water twice again, normally and inside out...
do you think i'll be fine or am i going to have to order up more filter socks
:mad2:
You will be fine. The rinse cycle will take care of the soap.

You should be fine. You could soak them in a 10% bleach solution to help degrade any leftover detergent and/or any dye that may have saturated them from the other clothing. Then just rinse them until they no longer smell like chlorine/bleach (or just let them air dry). It's probably not necessary, but I would do it just to be certain that I'm not introducing anything potentially harmful into my tank (soap, fragrances, dyes, etc.). Then again, the detergent would probably break down fairly quickly on its own anyway.

Poor guy was just trying to wash his clothes and didnt notice the white, hard to see, filter socks all the way at the bottom of the washer.
Extremely lazy and inconsiderate would have been to toss his clothes on your tank and tell you to wash them lol ;)
Im sure they are fine now after your extra rinsing, I would much rather buy new ones then go through the bleach process.

I wash mine in the washer with both soap and bleach. Run it on a second rinse and no problems.
