I have a cleaner clam in my tank that i got from the food market, i heard they filter out ammonia and nitrates, should i throw some more in my fuge to keep my parems in check or will they starve out and die?

They do not filter out ammonia and nitrate. They filter out phytoplankton and turn it into ammonia.
