I have seen them and had a few but did not have luck keeping them. They are an encrusting monti so give it some room to grow. Looks great! Good luck!

Not all that rare, but a beautiful coral. I believe it's known as a Tyree LE Flower Petal Montipora. I have one just like this http://www.reeffarmers.com/limitedmontiporaflower.htm

thanks. The one I have is not a plating coral. Its an encrusting monti. I did a search and think it could be the smurf polyp monti. I'm not good with names:confused:

do a search for peltiformis. I have one growing rather quickly. It is a gorgeous coral that is very underappreciated by many.
