I am considering a 72" constellation for a 135 gal tank. Will this unit provide enough light for SPSs and tri clams? Any comments on growth rate using the constellation on a 23" deep tank? Thanks in advance for any info.

Joe,

The 72" Constellation will be more then enough to keep SPS and clams in your 135ga tank. Just keep the fixture close to the tank and make sure to have a good water flow for the corals.

Thank you,

How close is close? 4-6 inches?

6" min. The closer the better. You can keep the fixture as high as you want, but the closer you keep the fixture to the tank the more SPS you will be able to keep lower in the tank. The fixture is designed to rest directly on your tank with little to no heat transfer into the water.

Thank you,
