I'm upgrading from a 54G corner to a 90G this weekend and want to run 1 question /concern by you guys...

The 54G has been running since November with a new sandbed due to a relocation.. it's about 2" deep in most spots with some drift areas that might hit 3.5 or 4".. but they get moved around a bit.

Do you think I should be able to reuse the substrate in the 90, buffered with some additional sand or is it too risky? I'm shooting for a unified 1" of substrate in the 90G since I have a DSB in the fuge and an RDSB for kicks.

I'm hoping the sand is shallow enough and it hasn't been long enough to have issues, but I'm certainly not experienced enough to know...

Any advice?

with only since November----give it a rinse and reuse it.

(save one cup before rinsing the rest for reseeding the rest of it)
