I see that your auction photos are taken with 400w MH.

Are all your corals kept under these 400w MH lights? Or do you keep some corals under lower lighting conditions?

I recently won an auction and want to make sure that I place the coral in the correct tank (ie T5's or MH's, low or high in tank).

Do your shipments include a note along these lines?

Thanks!
Joyce

Congratulations Joyce!!

All of our corals are maintained under T5 lighting with par levels of 90-120 or low to moderate lighting. We will send you acclimating procedures with your shipment.

I recommend when you get the order to pull out the pieces and inspect them very carefully. Nothing bad against Aquatic Auction but I had something on mine that ate and destroyed an entire polyp. Looked like a Zoa Spider almost.

Again I mean nothing bad against AA becasue my 5 pieces have been INCREDIBLE! Also I float mine for about 15 minutes and add a small amount of my water then in the tank they go. I do not like letting them sit in an ammonia filled bag for any longer than they must. I haven't lost a single polyp doing it that way. Just FYI

Thank you Ryan!! I am glad you caught the little bugger that was munching on your polyp and gave his a rightful departure.

We will forward with you order two types of acclimating procedures with your order. One being a float method and one being a drip method. Both work very well. And always if possible QT all inbound new additions if at all possible. We dip all of our inbound corals but we aren't perfect so with your help we can rid our aquariums of all the unwanted pests.
