I have a bunch of Pumping Xenia and it is getting too close to some of my corals. What is the best way to remove it from live rock? I would like to keep it alive but if not I have alot of it. Any suggestions?

I had a couple of the Red Sea specimens (nice white) in my tank that took over half of my tank a couple years ago, the only thing that worked for me is a pair of needle nose forceps, grab them at the base and pull very slowly after you remove it put kalk paste where it was at or it will grow back. Good Luck now I know that they can spread that fast I consider them a weed,,,:)

Ok I'll just do that with the forceps. They are spreading very quickely now and are crowding everything else out.

agreed, there are various methods for removing xenia, but I find this method the best to ensure they don't come back. It requires a bit more effort initially, but the results last longer

I like the GSP covering the glass too. Does the GSP grow as fast as the Xenia?
