My levels are cal 500, alk 10 dkh, and ph 7.7 . I have been trying to raise the PH with buffer but the level will not budge. Is a level of cal 500 high enough to depress the PH, it is all i can think of. Thanks guys for your help, Joe

No need to buffer pH in saltwater tanks. As long as you know your testing methods are accurate I'd stop dosing your calcium supplement and let it fall on it's own. Open some windows and get some fresh air to your tank and that will help raise the pH. Excess carbon dioxide is most likely the reason for depressed pH. All you need to be supplementing is for alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium. ;)
