While I was on vacation I placed an order for a good size clean-up crew so that it would arrive after I got back in town - and before I had to go back to work. I ordered:
1.) 100 blue leg hermits
2.) 50 cerith snails
3.) 50 nerite snails
4.) 10 peppermint shrimp
5.) 4 emerald crabs
6.) 2 sally lightfoot crabs
I placed the order on Monday and per their shipping policy, after payment is received the order would have shipped Wednesday evening for Thursday delivery. I received an e-mail stating that I didn't select my "freebies" and it actually delayed the shipment by one day. I became concerned about the delay since I didn't want to pay extra for a Saturday delivery and I was going back to work Monday so I sent an e-mail expressing my concerns. I received a phone call from them and they told me that they were going through some personal issues and that they couldn't guarantee that the order would be shipped till next week. I again told her about my situation about returning to work Monday and that there would be no-one home or the fact that I couldn't start acclimating them till later on in the evening. She said she would do the best she could and was very cool & understanding. Later that evening I got an e-mail stating that the package had shipped and it arrived here at my house by 9:30 am.
The packaging was excellent. It was a large styro box with a heat pack wrapped inside of a cardboard box. The peppermints were shipped 2 per bag and had rubberbands inside for them to hang on to. All of the emeralds and sally's were individually packed in their own bag. The hermits were in 2 bags and the snails all shipped in their respective bags. They even sent an acclimation kit with airline, rubberbands and a clothespin.
Best of all - every singe invert was alive and were / are still doing well.
I sent them an e-mail expressing my thanks and told them that I'd pass the word along, so here I am passing it along.
You can buy their items on e-bay through the store "Piece-of-the-Reef" and the pricing is great - OR - you can go to www.reefs2go.com and buy directly from them, which the pricing is even better - plus depending on how much cash you spend, they'll throw in some freebies - I chose the 30 extra blue leg hermits.
They are by far the cheapest place I've seen for a CUC and I give them a HUGE thumbs up.
