I have had the third bracket break for my 6025s in less than 6 months. I am man enough to admit when I break something, but these plastic clamps have been the cheapest pieces of plastic I have had. I am trying some Hydor's and see if they hold up better. I liked my 6025s, but those clamps are ghetto. They are now the most expensive salt mixers I've ever had. Let me know when a better solution comes along.

We changed the clamp about 18 months ago and I have not had a single confirmed report of a new clamp breaking, this is only possible with the old Lexan material clamp, Lexan is not cheap, but it is brittle and was the wrong plastic for the job. If you give me your address I can send new clamps.

I can say personally I have swapped 30 or more of them on tanks at the store, on maintainence accounts and my personal pumps on my current and old tank and none of the new versions have broken.

Roger,
I'm guessing mine were the old ones. So is it safe to order new ones and am I guaranteed to get the "newer version".
Seems like I must have just bought all my 6201 stuff right before all the problems were found.

Thanks Roger, but after looking at the spare parts list, I might be talking about a different piece. pm sent.

roger,
the new clamps are leagues better than my previous ones in build quality. i just got them yesterday. your service is quite frankly beyond comparison. my signature says tunze fanboi and i will keep it that way. thank.
if mods can change the thread title to "tunze is awesome" that would be great. thank you.

I know that when a product fails to live up to your expectation it is frustrating and it's easy to feel cheated. Though with Tunze and Roger's A1 customer service, if there is an issue that always address it and if it's wrong the fix it. Tunze makes mistakes like all companies do, but they admit to them and rectify the situation. I will always buy Tunze and I do my best to get my fellow reefers to do the same. Now that you know this, it's cool to see you have become a fan as well!
