Never put 2 eels in a small tank when one has been in there by itself for a while!!!!!!! I learned this the hard way when I put my new Banana eel in with my Goldtail. With in an hour my Banana suffered this large gash near its tail. Man was I stupid I had to take them out of the 50 gallon QT and add them into the 240. They seem to be doing fine at the moment. I was hopping to get lucky and breed them. Not sure how to tell if they are male or female. Anyway heres a new X-mas island Polleni grouper and Broomtail wrasse ,and another pic of the Goldtail after they moved into the 240.I know dragon eels heal really fast from fights I hope this one does too. The wound already looks alot beter than yesterday.http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0488.jpg http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0489.jpg http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0490.jpg http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0495.jpg http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0498.jpg http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0499.jpg http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh472/aldiver311/PICT0505.jpg

I love the Banana Eel and the Polleni Grouper. What other fish are in the 240?

Very nice. The eel will heal fine, just stay on top of water changes and feed fortified food until it is fully recovered.

How big is the wrasse?

Great looking fish, eel looks like it is perched like a snake! Great polleni and broomtail! Will be neat to see the broomtail grow, I take it that it is a female?

Hmmm, looks male to me, or changing to male anyway, the head looks pretty green and it's getting the orange spots down the gill plate.

I dont know tons about them though, I could be wrong ;)

How big is that polleni? Looks TINY, but that might just be because there is nothing much around to judge it by.

I think your eel will be fine, they are tough critters.

Thanks guys, the Polleni is about 5.5 inches the lfs had him for 6 months. I guess he got like 6 of them and this was the last one. The Broomtail is about 6 inches. Not sure if its a male or female. Lfs also had him or her for about 4 months. I hope the eel does good going to change some water tonight. Hasn't eaten yet but had a very stressful day Sat. I have a 7 inch Goldheart Trigger,8-9 Golden Puffer and about a 7 inch Queen angel. I'll take some pics of the rest of the crew tonight.

nice fish! a polleni is on our "fish to get someday" list.

nice-looking eel too. i agree that it will heal up with NP...i had an Arothron puffer take several nips out of a snowflake i had and the eel healed quite quickly with no scarring.

Waiting on those pics! Really want to see the queen!!!! How does the queen and trigger get along? I am considering adding either a clown or GHT to my tank which has a 5" queen angel.

I'm gonna get some tonight was busy last night and didn't have time. They get along great no problems at all, the Queen does not let anyone push it around. I want to add a Emperor angel of the same size but not sure how the Queen will act. I think I should have added them at the same time.
