cloudy tank

I have added only water to my tank (no rock, no sand) and it has been running for a little more than 3 days now. I don't believe the skimmer has kicked in yet. The water seems to be pretty cloudy as is the bottom of the tank - does anyone have any ideas on this? Should this clear up in a few more days?

If this is new water then there will be nothing for the skimmer to skim. The skimmer helps take out DOC. New water will not have any organics for it to remove. Good luck with the tank it looks nice. The cloudy water will go away with time. Keep us posted.

Also if you do not have any heat in the tank it may be that the salt is not fully dissolved..will clear in time.

I appreciate the responses. I should be getting my rock/sand today from TBS, can't wait!
