I purchased almost all of the elos test kits... where can i find out acceptable ranges. e.g. ppm vs. elos' mg/lt.
These are my readings... are they within range?
Ca = 480 what units?
Mg = 1100 mg/lt
dKH = 9.5
Ph 8.2
Can someone point me to the correct ranges, either a thread or link, or just type them in.
Thanks in advance.

for this ppm=mg/lt.
Ca is ppm or mg/lt and that is pretty high but not bad, most will try to keep above 400 with 425-450 being desirable in an aquarium and NSW (natural sea water) is around 400-420ppm.
All looks good though Mg is a little low, which is pretty typical for most synthetic salts. This is just my personal preference but I use Aqua Craft Bio Sea because it is local,consistent and usually has good Mg numbers 1300-1400ppm and NSW is around 1250-1400. Mg is the most expensive thing to increase so I try to find a synthetic salt that has a good Mg level. Bio Sea usually is low in dkh for me but this is the cheapest/easiest thing to increase so that is not a problem. I use prima carbonates to increase the kh in the mixing tub with a mixing pump and then add it to the aquarium a few days later. There are a ton of kh buffers that are all relatively inexpensive.

Hope it will help you.
