I am going to set up my 90 gallon soon. Currently in my 55 i am using a closed loop with a ehiem 1262 and a OM Squirt.

I am going over some options and has some questions.

Going mostly sps

1. Drill the tank and use the OM and closed loop with one or two korilla pumps

2. Scrap the OM and move over to 1 or two vortechs.

3. 1 or two vortechs with the OM.

Now if i wanted to do 2 vortech 20's would i have to get two controllers or can you add more thatn one pump to one controller?

Would just 2 mp20's be enough one on each side?

Would adding the OM closed loop just be overkill with the MP20's?

Im looksing to have no dead spost and not give detritus a chance to settle. this is the problem i currently have now on the 55.

ok, the mp40w come with controllers and you don't need anything else.

No need of the OM with the vortechs, anti-synch them, select a mode and intensity and you're done. Will take you about 5 minutes. I have two of them on my 75.

2 MP20 will NOT be enough.
I just installed one on my 40 gallon cube.
I am seriously dissappointed at the flow
(or lack of). I will be converting to mp40w on
this cube.
I have 2 MP40w's on my 90g reef at home.

Should i go with the closed loop and one mp40? or scrap the loop and add 2 mp40's?

These things are really that powerful? I guess im finding it hard to see how is spreads the flow all over the tank. with the OM there are 4 outlets in each corner so distriute the flow all over. This would surpass that?
