as the title states, i have heard good as well as bad things about Miracle Mud, but i'd like to hear from people who have actually used it. I am thinking of using it in the refugium of my 80 gal. the tank itself already has a deep sand bed, and i wondered what it would (or wouldn't) do to my tank if i put the mud in the fuge instead of more sand.
any comments are helpful, and i am very intrested to see what first hand experience will have to say about this product.
THANKS!

I personally didn't like it.
Seemed to just add phosphates to my system, and got green algae film on glass on a very established tank.
Removed it weeks later, and probs went away.

yeah, i've heard that everything thats in it is actually not in the natural ocean, its all chemical, and it couldn't be good for your tank... thanks!

I had it in a refugium once, and had algae problems in the tank. I removed it and replaced it with sand, and my algae problems went away. I don't know the mud was solely responsible, but I am very skeptical

well that makes it sound like it fuels algae growth
