If I want to encourage coraline algae on the glass...

should I be cleaning it? I would like to have it eventually cover the back wall but I noticed while I was cleaning the tank today that there was coraline growing in the places I cant get to with the scouring pad.

I *just* started getting coraline within the last 2 months, it has been appearing on my equipment in small pink crusted dots, but I have none growint on any of the glass. Is this because I clean it every water change?

As long as you aren't directly scrubbing the area in which you hope coralline will grow then it should grow.

crank up your alkalinity to 11.5 dKh and watch it grow :)
