View Full Version : Rocks suddenly all brown, help!

I bought my live rock mostly white, and I understand it's going to change color over time, etc. But over the last 24 hours it's changed colors drastically to become a dark brown color. What is going on?? I will get my water checked tomorrow obviously, but any ideas on what this is?

diatoms,,, common in newly setup systems. no worries, they will disapear on itheir on.. :) HTH,, lisa

yup, give it a couple of weeks and it should all change to green.
then hopefully (with proper calc/alk/mag) it turns purple.

I didn't know this. The green corraline changes to purple when you have proper calc, alk, and mag?
