How far can the ac3 be from the dc-8?(IE length of that phone cord)

also can the probe cords be extended?

I would like to put my controller in my stand but all my equipment is in the basement.

best method for long runs on proves is the PX-1000, then use the same method for connecting that to the AC3.

How long of a cable can Px-1000 use for ac3pro?

Do a search, but I think I've seen that people have extended as much as 100 ft with Cat5 cable. Don't quote me on the distance, as I haven't done it myself with the PX-1000, but I've got a DC4HD about 40' away on Cat5 that works perfect.
