how much water should i run thru a new ro/di unit before it is good to go.

I discarded my first 10 gallons. I think the instructions that came with it said to discard the first 5 gallons.

My unit says to run 2 gallons thru the RO without the DI, then run 2 gallons thru the RO and DI. This helps save the DI from the initial crude coming out of the RO.

I ran 10 gallons through the whole unit, just to be safe.
