That looks great! Post some pics when it gets fully open and settled in your tank. Welcome to the clam world, you will forever be hooked!

How long does it take for them to fully open up? I put it in my tank 2 days ago and move it once. I have it 22 inchs under my 250 w MH 20k bulbs. Is that to close to the light? I have read a couple of different things on where to put it. Any help on where to place it would be a great help. The red circle is where it is placed now. What do you think should I place it higher or lower, or is it good where it is at? Thanks for any help. http://i642.photobucket.com/albums/uu150/delr3/DSC00053-1.jpg

Nah that looks like a great spot, but if it doesn't like where it is, it will let you know by falling off the rock. It may take a little while for it to attach its foot to the rock. It would probably even be okay in the sand. As far as when it will open fully, depends on the clam. But it shouldn't be too long. How are your parameters? By the way, I like the rock work.

All of my parameters are where they should be, check them daily and check my Ca weekly. I'm glad you like my rock work, I didnt at first but it has grown on me. When I was starting to gather everything to put my tank together I had invisioned something alot different than what came out so I kinda let my self down and settled with what I had done. The fish and inverts seem to like the lay of the tank so i guess thats whats really important.
