Lighting a 48”x48”x10” tank

I would like to start planning a grow out tank for my sps corals and am in need of some recommendations for lightning a tank of these dimensions. If at all possible I would prefer to use T5’s but I am unsure at the number of bulbs needed to effectively cover an area of 48”x48”. I assume the minimum number of 54watt bulbs needed would be eight. Would that be sufficient? Metal halides are an option but I believe I would need four 175watt fixtures to cover the area unless I raise the lights really high off the water.

Any and all suggestions would be extremely welcomed.
