Looking through the posts I have not been able to find a standard amount of mrswages to add to ro water to make the kalk solution. The only refrences I found were 2 tsps per gallon. Is this the correct amount?

Yes, assuming you want to completely saturate it.

as long as I have a standard on how to make the solution I can adjust the drip rate accordingly. That should work.

+1 I also make mine 1 tsp per gallon and all parameters are perfect.
It is tsps(teaspoons). The water will only hold 2 tsps per gallon or less. Any more will not dissolve.

has anyone tried making it up then pouring it through a coffee filter to strain out the particles rather than just let them settle to the bottom?

Besides some of that white slurry might be undissolved lime(kalk) which will help to maintain the strength of the solution if you dose it from a still reservoir as I do.
