ok big container for fish, big container for live rock, corals, seperate container for sand OR if this is a 20g or smaller tank leave it in the tank, drain and KEEP all the water that you can.. Have at least enough water at the new place for a 100% of your tank volume..and have it premixed with salt and heated to the proper temp..
setup everything put sand back put waterback corals, fish etc.. then gradual water changes to take care of any dieoff due to dry live rock etc..
How far are you moving.. I moved 3 tanks and my entire apt from Chico to brentwood in a day all the same trip and only lost a peppermint shrimp the tank was fully stocked with sps also... and it was over 100degrees out that day... You dont need to worry about airstones or anything when your driving like some people freak out about the water will slosh in the container aerating the water... I've done this lets see from Fresno to brentwood, brentwood to chico, chico to brentwood and a few small in town moves and all I ever lost was that one peppermint and my tanks are usually somewhat overstocked in some people opinions... If you have any questions LMK.. I usually use like 18g rubbermaid container for most of the stuff and big brute cans for the liverock and bulk of the water..
