a few days ago there was a coral in DD that was listed as australian acrhelia (I believe... sp?), under the description it said it was not photosynthetic and needed weekly feedings. The coral was listed for $299.99 I was unable to save the picture thinking I would buy it but it sold.

My questions:

1. There is a acrhelia in the maricultured listed as Galaxea horrensis is this the same coral? arent galaxeas' photosynthetic?

2. Will you be getting in any more of these corals?

Thanks Bryan

Bryan,

Thank you for your post. The Green Acrhelia Coral (Galaxea horrensis) is not the same as the Aussie Archohelia Coral (Archohelia rediviva) that was available a couple of days ago. The Archohelia coral is very rare and does need weekly feedings due to the fact that it is not photosynthetic. We would be happy to look into the availability of the Aussie Archohelia Coral and more of the Acrhelia Coral for you with our Aquaculture Coral and Marine Life Facility when they open again on Monday. We will post this information as soon as it becomes available.

Bryan,

Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, the photograph of the Archohelia did not turn out well and needed to be retaken. This coral should be posted tonight if all goes well.

Awww! Sorry bout that. The only reason I didn't buy it is because I got that first colony that got posted on Reefbuilders. It's a beauty and so far has been very healthy and eating well.
