Whats a good animal to eat green algae off the rock work? I tried Mexican turbos but the damn things keeps dieing. Either they starve or are sensitive to something. Regardless not happy with them.
Would blue hermit crabs be a good candidate for the job? how about a tang?? my yellow tang never picks at the rock?

A hermit will eat the algae, my yellow tang pecks at the rock all day long at any algae the pops up. but it's hit or miss. I only feed once a day so the tang may be scavenging for food the rest of the time, keeping the rocks clean.

I would try other types of snails or find another source for healthier snails. Hermits will help; I don't think a tang will eat enough to keep algae in check.

Do you have a nitrate problem? Nitrate and snails do not mix.
