Yellow tiped frogspawn!

Well, it was yellow in the store !

The guy at my fave lfs had this coral that he was hanging on to until I came in again. When he saw me come in, he dragged me over to his tank to show me.

It was a pretty cool yellow tipped frogspawn. Of course I've never seen one like it, nor have I heard of one, that's why he knew that I would want it !

So of course I couldn't walk out without it...and now it lives in my tank. But it's not quite as yellow as it was in his tank. I think I have more blue in my lights than he did, making the tips more green.

Oh well, it's still a cool looking piece.

thanks ! I had never seen one quite like it either, that's why i ended up getting it. My collection is getting kinda big now. :)

Its a Octo Frogspawn, also goes by octopus coral, or octopus frogspawn. They are pretty cool. Ive only seen a few some are even neon green which looks awesome but seems most of the time its brown with yellow or green tips but none the less awesome pick up!!

I think my brother puts a black light in his flourscents to give the green a yellow color. I'm not completey sure if it's the black light or another bulb, but I now it's something to do with his bulb configuration.

Just last week, someone had posted a pic of thier octo frogsapwn, and I was asking what the difference was between an octo and a regular frogspawn.

And now by sheer luck, i've got one ! lol.
