Now I have some algae beginning and wonder whats the best way to "clean" it up?

Where do you guys buy your snails and hermit crabs from? And what you recommend I get for a cleaning crew?

Any input is welcome!

THANKS!http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/3279/125gal006.jpg

I have found that one snail for every 3-4 Gallons will get the job done. I like to keep at least 5 different types of snails. Some for sand sifting, some for glass and some for rocks. IMO, variety is key.

You have diatoms going on there, and they will go away naturally, but snails certainly help. Personally I don't really like Hermits as they will terrorize your snails, and I find it nearly impossible to keep new coral frags glued down with hermits in there. If you aren't going to keep coral, its not such a big deal.

Best of luck

What would you recommend that I buy from there? Like how many of each snail? Their package deals are expensive and dont really wanna spend that much for a cleaning crew package..

Thanks

i would get 10 Nassarious,10 Turbos,& 10 Asteria or Certh snails.

You can also take a toothbrush or turkey baster,& brush,or blow the diatoms off the LR.

Well I just got some Macro algae in the sump and my new MSX200 skimmer. So that should help take care of most algae that will try and pop up i hope?!
