I have a small yellow watchman goby and plan to add a pistol shrimp to the tank. Any issues adding the shrimp after the goby and will the shrimp find the goby on it's own?
TIA

Shouldnt be any issue.... they will find each other... when the time is right. I added mine at the same time they were paired up. The shrimp went one way the goby the other way. 3 months later they found each other. The larger the tank the longer it can take.

Agreed. No problem.

I have had success in pairing quickly by putting the shrimp in a long pvc tube.
The base of the tube needs to be where the goby hangs out and the top - out of the water column of course. Drop the shrimp in.
Edge it down with a long thin stick if it hangs at the top. When it exits the tube it will find the goby straight away.
I have done this several times and it has always worked.

^^^ Good idea Matt. I added my pistol after the goby had been in the tank for a while. Just be sure to add a pistol that is from the same region as the YWG. I have a tiger pistol with my yasha haze goby. The pistol is very active and out and about moving sand day and night. I had a Randall's pistol a few years ago that I rarely saw.
