what is on the ricordea's mouth£¿

Just fed a piece of shrimp. and then after the daylights are off and the actinic lights on, the ricordea protrudes something out form it's mouth. and then after the actinic lights are off and lunar lights are on. those thing are retreat back to it's mouth.
what are those thing? never see them before.

They're the coral's guts.

It is the innards of the coral. Usually they only do this if stressed, spitting out the food, or something came along and tug-of-warred the food out of its mouth like a hermit. It takes a lot usually to stress a ric, so I am going to imagine it has something to do with the feeding process.
