OK.. call me a moron. I can take it.

anyone ever have tiny white dots on the base of their paly's? It looks like it's just miscoloration, but i can't really tell.

The palys are acting weird... they all are still opening like a mushroom (terrestrial type), one detached from the orig. frag, and in the past week or so, 3 new polyps have arrived on the frag disc....

I did just have a problem with somewhat low calc and alk.. and I've been slowly raising that up by using C-balance (according to dosing instructions). But other than that, no param problems that I can think of.

I've also been switching around my flow, as it's been tough to find something that works for my mix of corals.

Hoping the palys behavior is just due to the low calc and alk, and me messing with the flow too much, but it could be some sort of parasite I guess.

hmm.. the elusive pics. I'll have to do some google searching I guess.

It's tough for me to take a great picture of the spots.

looks like aragonite to me... palythoas ingest it to form part of the structure of their mat... it is common and normal. someone more experienced correct me if i'm wrong.

thanks for the replies, everyone. Let's hope it's just aragonite.
