About once a day for the past week I have been noticing broken off tenticles from my Bubble tip anemone floating around the tank. The anemone still looks good and there aren't any powerheads or anything else near it that could damage it. Has anyone else ever had this happen with their Bubble tip anemone?

The only shrimp I have is a cleaner shrimp. Could my Tomato Clown that hosts in it be doing it. Biting them off for some reason?

I used to find tenticles in the tank about once a month now it is almost every day. The tenticles are still alive when I get them. They try grab my finger when I touch them.

I forgot to mention my Sebae anemone has been shriveling down to a fraction of it's normal size at night. Then it goes back to it's normal size during the day. All my params have been good except alk, wich has been low lately around 6-7 dkh. Will low alk affect anemones this way. All the corals have been doing good except a torch witch completely died a week ago and my frog spawn has been slowley dieing.

Perhaps chemical warfare? I haven't heard of many people keeping different species of anemones in the same tank successfully before.

I've hade both anemones at opposite ends of my tank for about 3 years without any problems. My Tomato clown hosts in the bta and a false perc hosting in the sebae. Once in a while the Tomato clown kicks the false perc out of the sebae for about 5 minuets then goes back to his Bubble Tip.
