How long do you guys recommend using it for? How about other users how often do you change?

I'm changing mine every 2 weeks, wondering if that is enough or too fast for that matter.

thanks

Carbon can last for several months to a year when the water supply is relatively clean to begin with . For example carbon blocks on an RO system.

It’s a bit different in the aquarium because the water is full of fish poop, decaying food and algae . Bacteria /biofilm will also quickly populate its surface. Because of these things the efficiency of the carbon goes down drastically after a few days of use. That said, I normally leave mine in for 2 weeks since this is when I do my water changes and I try to keep all the maintenance on the same day

At how much are you using on what size tanks.

I was going by your recommendations, but didn't figure it would hurt leaving it in a little longer. I fill my reactor a 1/4 full and let run for a week or two. I understand I don't want it to turn biological.
