I am trying this. The particles are spherical and are white. A reef shop employee told me it was arsenic. How does this compare to GFO.

It is a Brightwell aquatics product. I could find no GFO locally.

That is a Activated Alumina Tom. It is the same thing as SeaChem Labs Phosguard. It is not Arsenic :lol It is a Arsenic remover just like GFO's are used for. It is a off-white media correct

Aluminum and aluminum-based phosphate binders

I read the article but has anyone experienced any negative results of using these products. It is night here but my mushrooms seem fine. It is a much cleaner product to use than GFO.

Some have Tom and some have not. If you seem to see no problems then things may be fine.
