Anyone know a good place to get a good one at an affordable price?
I don't have an answer to your question, but I am curious to know what you intend to use it for.

I am using for either a) a replacement for my osmolator pump so that I don't have to have a top off resevoir, or b) to attach to a float switch in the resevoir so that I don't have to fill it up.

I have been using this one for a while, to plumb RO/DI water directly into my sump for top off (I know some people don’t think it’s a good idea, but it's way easy). I don’t know if it’s affordable or not, but I didn’t think it was bad.

Take a look at McMaster-Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com) - item #7877K5.
They come in 12V, 24V, and 120V. They work very well, but like the great majority of such valves they employ brass in their construction. OK for RO water, etc. - just don't try to use them for saltwater.
