Could this carbon cause me to have an algae problem in my tank. Is any one using this carbon having the same problem? I am also using bulk reef supplys rox 0.8 carbon and high capacity gfo in a reactor.

What's your phosphate?
Some carbons are bad about leaching phosphates.
Put the offending carbon in a bucket of water. Test the phosphate. Let it sit overnight and test it again. If it's higher, there's your problem.
