How many T5 needed?

As the subject says how many T5 do I need for my aquarium?

I am building my own canopy and I have decided to change to MH 150w 14k x2 and the question is how many T5 actinics or Blue Plus tubes do I need or should I add?

6 is ideal you can keep anything under 6 unless you have a deep tank.

I think two actinic tubes would compliment your lights nicely. You don't necessarily NEED supplemental lighting, but a few actinics provide a transitional dawn/dusk effect. You might consider either the 420nm or 460nm actinics (I don't remember which is which, but one is blue, one is purple).

420 is purplish and 460 is blue. i like to mix them, IMO a great color.

Thanx for the reply guys, I had in mind of using three T5 tubes 2 Actinics and one fiji purple.

I run a Fiji Purple on my 90 and I LOVE that bulb, you would be surprised at the coloration "pop" you see under that bulb compared to other bulbs.
