I've read that they can nip at LPS and soft corals. I have frogspawn, trumpet coral, anthelia, zoas and mushrooms. What experience to folks have with this beautiful fish?

I've had one for awhile. Mine has never bothered any coral or clams. I keep my fish well fed so that may help. Can be a little pugnacious sometimes but overall a great fish.

I have never kept a coral beauty, but they are going to be like any other dwarf angel --- some people are going to have no issues with them nipping, whereas others will have had big issues with nipping. So it is really going to be up to you, are you willing to take the risk, and possibly have to remove it if it does bother your corals.

I believe you should be fine. I have a trio with some LPS, zoos, and a lot of corallimorphs with no problem.

Cheers!

+1 no problems. My beauty is constantly moving and eating from live rock. The flame angel gives him and a pygmy angel a chase now and them but they are all great fish in my 220.

If any of you are still checking, thanks so much. I took the plunge shortly after the last post and my coral beauty has done very well over the past month. no nipping LPS or zoas and and constantly searching for food on the LR. Great fish!

I had one but became too agressive towards my fish, I had to take it back to my LFS, but while I had it he was fine with my LPS and Zoas.

I have one that is in my reefs for over five years. He will give new comers a run but always backs off in a day or two. Great Fish! IME! He has been in with, gorgs, zoas, dendros, sun corals, nems, clams, frog spawn, torch, favia, trumpets, SPS, SPS and more SPS!

I had one that picked at SPS.

I have better luck with the larger Majestic Angel, he doesn't pick at SPS or Zoas.

Every angel is different.
