I am building a new 90 gal and just filled it and have it overflowing to the sump. Today, for the first time, I have enough water to start the pump to send the water on the return trip.
In my sump I have a Quiet One 4000 High Head. I activated the pump and it doesn't do much. Water flow is a trickle and it is shuddering a lot. I figured it was airbound but I have rolled it every which way to get the air out. I have cycled power at least 20 times with no improvement. I opened it and removed the impeller shaft and everything spins freely. Bad motor?
Any ideas anyone? Do I have a DOA pump?
