I purchased this 3" female Lamarck Angel from one of my LFS on 5/19. The LFS got her in on 5/18. This is a photo of her that night in my QT shortly after being put in:

She's been doing fine. She eats a mix of frozen mysis and frozen brine every day. Her stomach is filling in nicely. I inspect her every day during feeding. It's been a week and a day. But today she had a big flesh wound on her face. It is between her eye and her mouth and it almost looks like there is a second smaller one under it. Here is a photo of her today:

At first I thought maybe she burned herself on the heater or scraped herself on one of pieces of PVC pipe. But then, I started thinking about everybody lately saying to treat angels for flukes. So, I did a 20% water change, turned off the skimmer and added PraziPro.

Does anybody know what this could be? If she will recover? She is eatting great, I just want this to heal. Please help, I really don't want to loose her to this.

I assume she's alone in the QT? It almost looks like an injury one of my anthias got from them fighting with each other. I don't think it's an illness, but I could very well be wrong. An antibacterial medication may be a good idea.

If the fish is eating well and is not being stressed then it should heal ok.

It's in QT with a 1" Green Chromis. Could that have done this?
