Can anybody help with an ID for this pistol shrimp? I'm trying to pair it up with a proper shrimp goby.

I have the same shrimp with a yellow watchman goby. Hope this helps.

I have the same shrimp.. He paired up with a Diamond goby for years in my tank..

it's a splendid snapping shrimp, they're actually one of a few pistols that don't always form a symbiotic relationship with gobies..
I had one for about a year, wouldn't go near my yellow watchman goby..
Blindskater has my old yellow watchman and it looks like he had better luck with his shrimp than I did with mine.. haha

I don't know but he's cool looking. I have a pistol of some type in one of my 90s. I forgot he was in there for a while and when I would hear it pop, I would get all freaked out thinking the tank was cracking or something, lol. They are pretty loud and mine likes to pop alot right after the light go out.
