i didn't know if i should post here or in the DIY forum

hello everyone, i am currently in the process of converting an AC 110 to be a HOB fuge for my tank. but it seems i'm running into a problem! i have a 60 gl. hexagon tank now each side is 14 inches the length is 13 1/2 for the AC 110. but there's a lip around the inside (plastic) that i believe will prevent me from hanging the fuge! has anyone ever moded the AC 110 to fit a hex tank b4! and or does anyone have any ideas? would it be ok to cut the filter somehow or maybe the lip on the inside of the tank? any feedback would be much appreciated!

Cut the corners of the AC at an angle to fit over the trim. Don't cut the trim on the tank though.

yeah, i really didn't want to cut the rim, that's what i was thinking i guess i'll just have to wait till i get the ac and see how it's gonna work out
