Using threads on Eheim 1262

How do I use the threads? Do I just screw my 3/4" connector on the outside threaded part of the smaller hose barb one?

Yes, remove the stock hose barb. Use a grey sched 80 3/4" male fitting. The white sched 40 are too short. Wrap the threads up good with Teflon tape and screw it in.
