Just wondering which magnets and/or pads those of you with acrylic tanks are using?

I use an Algae Free magnet in my acrylic QT tank... but that thing was so scratched up to begin with I can't tell if I'm making it worse or not :)

I used the algaefree. it is important to clean the pads often and replace liberally. Aside from that I used acrylic scrapers that James from Envision sent when I ordered my tank.

My tank is also an Envision tank. I have a couple of the scrapers from James. I haven't tried them yet, no coralline so far. I might stick with the algae free magnets and just buy a bunch of pads.

I think that's the same one that I have on my QT. I need to get a Tiger Shark if I go that route.

If you leave town for 4 months on business educate your wife on the fact you must check the magnet for snails before using it:lol: I can home to a deep 25" "Z" shaped scratch on my 450:eek:

Took about 6 hours to buff it out!

oh no!

Well I doubt I'll be going on any extended business trips in the near future but I'll have to add a note on about that to my maintenance instructions for her :)

Do you use a hammerhead on your 450? How thick is the acryilic? My tank is 3/4" thick.
