what's the difference between the wavebox and setting one of the controllable pumps on a wave timer?

Will the streams hook up to a profilux controller?

thanks,

The wavebox generates a true wave based on resonance. It is possible to do the same thing with pumps but more pumps are required as the wavebox combines the displacement and the flow of the pump to create a wave, it creates more wave energy with less power.

I believe they will, but you should ask Profilux about models and accessories required.

thanks,

so for a 120G with dual corner overflows what do you think are the optimum setup with a wavebox and the optimum setup with pumps only?

Thanks

I would use both, a 6206 nano wavebox and depending on corals, a couple 6055's or a couple 6105's. The wavebox will provide the wave that will lift and suspended debris and get flow to every crevice and the powerheads will provide linear flow.
