Can you buy legs for either of the ATI T5 fixtures? power module or sunpower

I have the exact same problem. Hanging is not an option with a high ceiling. I have been doing a lot of research on how to accompish getting the ATI powermodule to be on top of the tank. I don't like the DIY bend conduit as the look does not fit with my living room decor. I have even thought of just putting the fixture right on top of the tank, but that doesn't sound like such a hot idea either. For desperate people like us who really want an ATI powermodule, but can't hang it, how about using acrylic risers from The Container Store. Thoughts on this attempt?

Anyone else? I dont understand why they dont make legs for this. How much better is this than the TX5?

It is much better than the TX5. There is a thread on the Powermodules in the reefgeek forum. There is a couple pics of someone that built something of acrylic that it could rest on- didn't look bad at all.

As Eho mentioned, you can bend metal conduit and attach that to the back of your stand-

Is hanging out of the question?

I don't understand why they don't have a tank mount option for the ATI fixture either. There are reasons why some of us cannot hang lights; i.e. wife, high ceiling, renting places that doesn't allow hanging.

Contact them and let them know. It does seem rather dumb not to have one. The more people that ask for them, the more likely it is that they would make one.

One reason is that since it is a European company/fixture, most of the tanks in Europe are rimless- so habging might be the most common option over there. Doesn't help in the US though:).

You could try retrofitting a Tek mount somehow.

Anyone ever come up with a solution for this? I just came across a killer deal for a 4x54W Sunpower, but my BCW (Beautiful and Charming Wife) isn't keen on me hanging it.

There are no commercially avalible legs for the ATI powermodule or sunpower. For now it is only DIY.

I couldn't hang mine from the ceiling (too high) so I hung it from the wall:

I couldn't hang mine from the ceiling so I spent $10 on some EMT conduit and black spray paint. Just bend the conduit and attach to the back of your stand with a couple of conduit holders.

This was my plan - until I ran it by the BCW. Now I'm looking for a new plan :sad2:

I'm now thinking of installing 2 wooden uprights on the back of the stand and then mounting a couple of decorative wrought iron plant hangers on them.

Zyphen, where did you find those parts? Very slick looking.

I ordered them from this site, they only come in 1 size though (8") and with the 4 bulb ATI sunpower fixture, that hangs 3" off the wall.

No legs and ATI has no intention to make any. After having an ATI, I wouldn't want legs as you can't control fixture height at all and seriously hampers you.

The legs would have to be able to raise the fixtures anywhere from 4 to 12" and that will look dumb. Most ATI users have to keep the fixture at least 8" off the water so they don't bleach everything while acclimating.
