I used to dose ESV 2 part Alk/Ca buffer.

I ran out of the Ca part and have some 800g ESV calcium chloride in hand, just wondering, how much do I have to mix to get 1 gallon of Ca additive the same strength of the original 2 part Ca buffer.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could use the Chemistry Calculator to determine your answer:

You will need to know how ppm of calcium your tank uses per week and then divide that by 7. Once you have your figure, you can use the calculator to determine how much of the ESV to use. ;)

I knew about that website, I am just wondering if there is a way to make a gallon of the Ca, so that I don't have to mix it everytime I needed to boost Ca.

Just got email from ESV, takes about 660 grams to make a gallon of Ca buffer.

1 teaspoon in 40 ml of RODI will give you the same concentration as the 2 part Ca buffer.
