Sounds like either your air tube is clamped/kinked or your pump is broken.

nothing blocking it or kinks. when it says bubbles, does it mean like 1 or 2 small bubbles floating to the top or does it mean like a jet of bubbles?

mine produces quite a bit of bubbles. usually alot of foam. although I have found that just as the reviews said the skimmer is terrible. you should consider buying the bc shappire aquatics skimmer.

my skimmer works great. lots of bubbles and produces well. check the pump. try a different airstone and check all connections. you are supposed to place it in the first chamber to have a constant water level...BTW

mine doesnt fit in the first champer. is is that important? and i dont want to good of a skimmer, just one to collect big bits of algae and detrius. i have a lot of LR and a fuge so i didnt really need one in the first plafce.

right now im gunu stick with the normal air pump. I think i found the problem. On the airpump, there is a little blocking thing thats clear and has an arrow pointing down. It blocks the suction. I cant pull it off and it doesnt twist or anything. How do i get it off, or open up and air chamber so it can pump air?
