Not tang police here but yeah. Tangs are cool but need massive tanks. It is a heart breaker.

ok dori (Tang) is less than 2". In a few weeks her new home will be 6ft long. I did my research on the tang before I bought it.

Oh here we go. I'm not going to sit here and criticize your tank, but there is a long list of problems I could be posting. I'm going to start off by saying, you're in the right direction. Keep on doing research and you'll be on your way to having a successful show tank. One thing that did stand out with your tank is the lack of a proper aquascaping build. Second off, get rid of the pre-printed background paper that pet-co sells. Go with a solid black or blue background and it will help bring out the true colors in the tank.

What are the other 4 fish besides "Dori"?

How long has the tank been up?

How much rock?

What kind of filtration do you have?

What size are you upgrading to?

Sorry for all the Q's!

Very nice start! I agree with changing out to a solid back ground, my preference is black.

Those are some big snails too.

Nobody said anything about the undergravel filtration, people love to say the negatives about that. Although I ran under gravel filtration for years as did many others without any problems.

The Back ground is a personal preference. I perfer black because I like the focus to be on what it inside the tank and not the picture behind it. It looks like your off to a good start.

i like your tank, at first glance it looks very bare bones and basic which is what some reefers like, any chance of a spec of equipment and a list of stock :)

Thank you Andrew.

On this tank I only run a protien skimmer, another filter I run has carbon in it.

I test water every week.
In this tank I have 4 fish (1 tang, 2 clown fish, 1 damsel)
4 caribbean welchs, 2 sea anenome, 1 rock crab, too many small feather dusters... 2 big feather dusters.

The next tank I am setting up is a 75 gal. It will have sump, fuge, for this tank I did a lot of research.

In the near future I will be buying a house and my tank will be a built in 200 gal... or higher

Good luck with your new set-up and Dori....my only advice is not to use that backround on your tank...you lose the color and depth of your tank to that backround!
